McLean Presbyterian Church serves a growing community and the master plan allows maximizing the property improvements in phases. The Phase II addition almost doubles the building size within a very tight site area. The design uses porch colonnades, articulation of small, distinct volumes, and masonry contrasted with proportionately detailed white millwork to relieve the density of the building volumes. Economical construction techniques meet the project budget and low-maintenance materials sustain the building over time.
